And so, dear friends, as you can see we have now moved. There are probably stories to be told about that time (and I no likely will tell them still), but for now we move on. To February. We have been here for a month. Still no running water. Still no electricity....
So now the man and I are both seriously in financial dwang. Only one thing to do....
(BLEEP's) monthly installment is only due in a few days. There is R3000 credit on the card. If we miss the month end payment, they will red-list the card. We must shop till we drop immediately and buy food so that we don't starve for the next month. Off we hie to Rustenburg.
We fill two shopping carts to the brim (literally). We're slightly over R3000, but it goes through! And there we were, two one-legged persons huffing and puffing and battling to push the overloaded carts. Bedraggled, tired....what a sight we must have been. Took about an hour for the cashier to ring it all up!
There's a "convenient" ramp from the mall to the parking lot. Both the man and I lose control of the carts and barrell down at a terrifying speed. Instant karma?
I feel wicked and quite criminal. Fancy shopping on a card you know you can't pay for?
